Tales on Film

Yesterday, one year ago, I wrote the first post on this blog to share everything I know and find about photography on film. Let’s look at some numbers of the last year

• 213 published posts, that makes for 4,1 posts a week
• 18201 visitors in total, an average of 49,86 per day
• 11564 unique visitors, an average of 31,63 per day
• 6662 returning visitors, an average of 18,25 per day
• 159 facebook fans
• 155 members of our flickr group
• 412 tweets
• 301 followers on twitter

Our most read post was the one when I reviewed the Kodak Portra 400 film, so I guess you guys really love the reviews of film. There were also 171 comments made in the last year, which is very remarkable with all the channels available to us through social media

To be honest, these numbers are way bigger then we ever could have dreamed. So thank you all for the trust you have in us and the value you seem to put in our knowledge.

This blog can only be possible because of all of you reading it, so THANK YOU. I promise to keep on blogging and as always everybody is still welcome to post your own content. It would be lovely if the selection from the flickr group would be made by somebody else then me from time to time.

Normally with an anniversary the one having it’s birthday gets presents, but we would like to do it the other way around. There for we will be giving away lot’s of prices during the month of February, including cameras, lenses, film, unique prints,… Today we start with…

For our aniversary we are giving away one Zenit E with a Helios-44M 50mm f2 lens, tested and in good condition (only the lightmeter is not reliable) and that’s not all to make sure you can start shooting, we also add 3 rolls of slightly expired (2011) Fuji Superia 100.

Because we only have one, you’ll have to do a couple of things to win. Choose one of the three options.

The contest runs till Friday 10 february 2012 23:59 CET, every comment after that time will not be able to win. The winner will be drawn totally random by me and my girlfriend afterwards he will be notified through e-mail, so make sure you’re e-mailadres in your comment is correct.

Today is just a very short post to let you all, that after a careful review of all applicants, writing their names on a piece of paper and throwing it in a hat, fate picked Evan Robinson from Philadelphia, USA to win the Patterson tank.

Evan, I hope you and your roommates will put it too good use. Make sure to share some of the results with us . In a few weeks we will give away something else, it might even be a camera this time, who knows.

As an easter gift for you guys, we give away a Patterson tank on Saturday. To help you get started with home development.
